§ 44-31. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Owner means any person, firm, corporation, partnership, joint venture or organization of any kind or nature.

Property and lot mean any real property situated within the county, outside a one-mile perimeter from the city limits of the Town of Oxford, North Carolina.

Public water system means a water supply that serves 15 or more connections or 25 or more persons daily.
